NOVEMBER ~~~
It's been a very busy past few months for Bill and I.  September found us in Washington, DC (yes, the setting for Immoral Symphony) doing book signings, which were very successful.
October we were in the Boca Raton area of Florida on the east coast, and again we did well.

This past weekend we were at the Florida Writers Association Conference in Orlando.  It was a great conference, however, for Bill and I the absolute highlight was Saturday evening when our novel, Immoral Symphony, won the Royal Palm Literary Award 1st Place for Best Adult Fiction.  I think we're both still on Cloud 9 and the air up here is great!
The awards banquet was similar to the Academy Awards in format.  Very dressy, very glittery and very exciting.  The suspense lingered all evening.  Walking up to the podium to receive our beautiful gold statuette made it a night to remember.
Both Bill and I want to thank FWA and all the judges at Florida Community College.  Our award is deeply appreciated.
Bill and I would also like to thank each and every one of you that contacted us via emails and phone calls when our announcement went out that Immoral Symphony is now the recipient of the Royal Palm Award.  It truly meant a lot to us to receive such an outpouring of congratulations.  So to all our family, friends and readers.....a very sincere thank you for all the support and loyalty you continue to show us as authors.

Another very exciting piece of news from the conference is that Bill and I met with a NY agent that showed considerable interest in our work.  She's asked for a copy of Immoral Symphony and the first three chapters of Seeing Darkness, the manuscript that's yet to be published.  Although in this business one doesn't want to get their hopes too high, being on Cloud 9 it's difficult not to be encouraged.  All the requested material will go into the mail tomorrow and then the wait begins.

For those of you in the Amelia Island, Green Cove Springs area of Florida, check out our signing schedule.  Drop by and say hello to Bill and I.  In addition to writing, we love chatting with our readers in person.

Final plans are completed for the weekend workshops that Bill and I are doing at Cedar Key January 7, 8 and 9th, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Denise Bierworth at Sunny Isle RV/Motel.   Please check out our Information and Registration pages here on our website.  Weather at Cedar Key in January will be delightful, it's the perfect venue to stir your muse surrounded by water and nature and we think it's going to be a very informative and beneficial three days for writers........so send in your registrations and plan to join us!

Thanksgiving is two weeks away and Bill and I want to wish you a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING......may you enjoy the meaning of the holiday and find even more to be thankful for.  As for Bill and I.....life is very good and we are grateful to all of you that has helped to make our writing the success that it is.

See you next month............
