July Update

As we approach the day we celebrate our independence, Terri and I wish you a happy and safe July 4th.  This is a difficult time for our country and the world as we seek to combat the terrorism which has changed the lives of many Americans.  Let us all remember the military men and women who are sacrificing for us and those at home who support them.  It is very difficult for the spouses and families left behind.
We have much good news to tell you.  Because of the bankruptcy of our small press, distribution has become difficult.  Distributors and some book stores may have become fearful that Gardenia Press would not accept returns or live up to the spirit of existing contracts.  Despite the fact that such concerns were not confirmed in business practice, it became difficult for our customers to order and buy Immoral Symphony at some book stores.  Our readers have been very faithful to us and we still have received only postive, wonderful comments about Immoral Symphony. Therefore, we have been searching for a new home for our book and the sequel, Final Symphony, that we are working on.
JADA Press, a small royalty-paying press in Jacksonville, has agreed to accept our second printing and become our publisher.  They have an enviable distribution arrangement with major distributors and are excellent to work with.  Immoral Symphony will be available from JADA Press in late July.
We have had the cooperation of our existing publisher and the graphic artist who designed the book cover and our book will have the same distinguished cover.  For those of you who have taken a day off from work, stayed up all night, or wrestled the book away from your spouse to finish our book, thank you. The sequel is on its way.  We have actually received letters and e-mails talking about these events.  A few days ago, after reading the book, a book store owner decided to re-schedule a trip (vacation, I think) so that we would do a signing on the only day we had available in July.  We are very pleased.
We have an aggressive signing schedule for the rest of the year.  Please go to that page linked below to see the partial schedule. June was a great month for our signings and we have found more faithful readers and book sellers.
Terri and I wish you good health and a safe, robust holiday.  Remember that our imagination opens every avenue to us.  So, dare to dream.
