| August Update | ||||||||
| Hello Friends, It's time for our August update, actually past time because I went to Northern Virginia to attend the funeral of a good, old friend, John Barrett. He was a wonderful man in this life and we wish him better in the next. Terri and I attended the Harriet Austin Writer's Conference at the University of Georgia. She made a presentation there and did a super job. As you all know, publication of Immoral Symphony is behind schedule. Frankly, I am embarrassed to have to tell you this again, but small presses have issues they must deal with. We thank you for your patience because those of you who have ordered the book pre-publication know your credit cards have been charged and your checks have been cashed. We believe that by the end of August or the early part of September our patience will be rewarded. Again, thank you. In the meantime, we have gotten three reviews and I'd like to share them with you. They follow: "Bonner Dulong is James Paterson, Robin Cook, and Michael Crichton rolled into one. From the first page to the end the reader is caught up in a plot that will keep them turning the pages late into the night and questioning everything they read for months to come." Sylvia Hemmerly, Publishing Consultant and Author of Unlocking the Secrets of Publishing. "DuLong and Bonner have integrated current economic problems and social injustices, along with a wickedly clever twist, into a story written with compassion and insight. The lives of Maddie and Mark will touch a resonant chord in the reader and leave them questioning their own fragile state of existence." Maureen Landress, Review Columnist, Cedar Key News "I can't say enough about Bonner and DuLong's new masterpiece, Immoral Symphony. The writing is exquisite and the story amazing! I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for an explanation of what was going to happen to these two strangers who meet under difficult circumstances, and making their meeting worthwhile in the end. If you want a new and totally different kind of book, this is the one to pick! Lisa D'Angelo, BookReviewCafe.com So, although late, we are off to a good start. Terri and I cannot wait until we are autographing your books for you. We wish you all good health and happiness. My friends, dare to dream. |
